The gates and doors were barred
And all the windows fastened down
I spent the night in sleeplessness
And rose at every sound
Half in hopeless sorrow
And half in fear of the day
Would find the soldiers breaking through
To drag us all away

And just before the sunrise
I heard something at the wall
The gate began to rattle
And a voice began to call
I hurried to the window
And looked down into the streets
Expecting swords and torches
And the sound of soldier’s feet

But there was no one there but Mary
So I let down to let her in
And John stood there beside me
As she told me where she’d been
She said they moved him in the night
None of us knows where
The stone ‘s been rolled away
And now his body isn’t there

So we both ran to the garden
Then john ran on ahead
And we found the stone, an empty tomb
Just the way that Mary said
But the winding sheet they wrapped him in
Was just an empty shell
And how or where they’d taken him
It was more than I could tell

Oh something strange had happened there
Just what I did not know
Well John believed a miracle
But I just turned to go
Circumstance and speculation
It couldn’t lift me very high
Cause I saw them crucify him
And then I saw him die

Then suddenly the air was filled
With a strange and sweet perfume
The light that came from everywhere
Drove shadows from the room
Then Jesus stood before me
With His arms held open wide
Then I fell down on my knees
And I just clung to Him and cried

But then He raised me to my feet
And as I looked into His eyes
Love was shining out from Him
Like sunlight from the skies
Guilt and my confusion
Disappeared in sweet release
And every fear that I ever had
Just melted into peace

HE’S ALIVE!!!!!


Remember God is there. God is real. And God is right next to u waiting for u to come to Him.

"There is not enough darkness in all the world to put out a light of one small candle."

That means there is no way that all the darkness in the world could come together and go after that one light on the candle. the only way that it could go out is from an outside force. Just like our life. Satan can make our light go out. Our friends. Peer pressure. Dont let satan blow it out. Dont hide it under a bushel. Make ur life shine.

Mat 5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Mat 5:15 NOR DO PEOPLE LIGHT A LAMP and PUT IT UNDER A BASKET, but ON A STAND, and it gives light to all in the house.

Mat 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
